How to use a wooden wick

Your wooden wick deserves a little care after each burn. If the flame struggles to stay lit, it’s a sign the wick has too much char. Gently trim or pinch away the blackened tip with a wick trimmer, nail clippers, or tissue before lighting again for a stronger, steadier flame.

Always check your wood wick before lighting. Clip or pinch away the burnt section so the wick is about 1/4" long. Long wicks are the main reason wood candles fail to stay lit.

For a smooth burn, let your candle melt to the edges during the first use, about 2–4 hours. Avoid leaving it lit for longer than 4 hours at a time.

Always supervise burning candles. Keep away from drafts, vibrations, combustible surfaces, and out of reach of children and pets.

For optimal aroma and burning, try to use your candle within 24 months of buying it.
