How to Use a Wooden Wick

Wood wicks REQUIRE trimming after every use! If your candle will not stay lit, it means the wick is too charred and needs a loving little trim. Use either a wick trimmer, a nail clippers, or a tissue to simply pinch off the extra burnt char to keep your candle flame healthy.

Always trim your wood wick before each light! Simply pinch off the charred wood from the previous light, or use a wick trimmer for a cleaner cut. Wicks should be about 1/4" each time the candle is lit. The most common reason for wood wick candles not staying lit is a wick that is too long.
Always ensure you have enough time to allow the wax to melt to the edges of the container. That is anywhere from 2-4 hours during the first burn. Do not exceed 4 hours of burn time in one light.
To prevent fire and injury, burn candles within sight. Keep away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
For best results, burn within 2 years of purchase.
